And so although we now have many different ways, many different methods in which we can learn and acquire certain skill sets and certain knowledge bases, you still have a lot of employers that worship the idea of the college degree. I work for an employer that won't even consider someone for management, and this is talking about middle management. Unless they have a college degree. It does not matter how much experience you have. It does not matter how much skills you have

Hey, Tanya, this was excellent. Every point you made, I agreed with every point. You and I and others have been swelling about this, that there are those who are skilled, very skilled at what they do, and they're looked over because they don't have that piece of paper. And the jobs that they do get, it really doesn't scratch the surface of their student loan debts. I wish I could find that quote
A piece of paper don't mean nothing to me if you ain't got no common sense to use it. Number one, anybody can jump on the Internet and get their degree on the Internet. I'm like, I can never fathom that. They get their degrees for free on the Internet and make six figures, which I think is insane. But all the kids that were trying to go to college within these last several years, I could not even fathom that at all

So I really, really enjoy that because it doesn't require a degree, it just require some skill sets and some know how that you can freely learn online. And yeah, it is insane. It's insane that people can earn certificates and degrees right on the web and move on with their life. My cousin, I have a couple of cousins who are in very high earning fields. One of them is an accounting professor. She used to be an accountant
