And so I had a life insurance policy on me when I was a baby that came from my grandfather. Then I had a life insurance policy on me as a child that came from my parents. Fast forward to adulthood. I currently have a life insurance policy through my job. Of course, those end once you leave the job, but then I have one that I self fund through my insurance company. And so life insurance has always been a norm for me and my family
So where the younger I was, the more aggressive it was. And the older I got, the more conservative it got. Started going a little more blue chip. So that way what I stacked up that money and then trying to make back the money from the recession, I lost like $27,000 overnight. So roth IRA there's that other thing. But then guess what? There's something else they talk about now

I want to commend you and thank you for this very important topic, because my uncle, he sells life insurance, but he does so by explaining why a person needs life insurance. And a lot of the points you brought up, he brought up. That's why my husband and I got life insurance some years ago, because he brought up really valid points. He told a mother I think her son was going to become a basketball player

And so, yeah, some people are late in the game understanding the importance of life insurance, and so they still want to cover themselves and their family, so they go ahead and get life insurance at whatever age they discover its purpose and its meaning. But you're right. If you just listen to a lot of older people, they will give you the ins and outs of life insurance. You don't have to reach out to an agent
