Now, Monique has admitted in the past that with her two older children, she was not the best mother that she should have been because she was younger and that she should have done more for her children and she should have been a better mother to her children. Now, her son Shalon says that his mother really wasn't a good mother to him and that it was painful for him to watch her become this great mother with his two younger brothers

And like I said, when you're dealing with two sets of children, the older children probably don't get the best of mom because mom is young. Mom may still like to party. Maybe she's leaving you with the grandparents all the time. Maybe you guys weren't able. Maybe I lived in lack because mom didn't have the resources to take care of you

But the reason right up underneath that, probably even tied with that, is that he did not put in an effort to get along with my children, and I was not going to be with a man who did not try to get along with my children and respect my children. Him and my mom couldn't make it work. He was younger, and I get that, but I still don't get why he's, like, father of the year with my half sisters, with his wife. Because they know daddy differently than I know him. They have a different dad. And so, yeah, that is the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. But watching his TikTok was heartbreaking, and it felt genuine. Sometimes I'm like, why are people airing dirty laundry?

If the man she went now and the man that she had her oldest son by was best friend to the point where the boy was calling him uncle, that's an issue. But it don't matter if he called him uncle

Now, I did read that the other son is adopted, that this other son is not their biological son. So that may make a difference as to why he feels comfortable claiming that one as a son, because that son doesn't have his biological father and mother or whatever. I don't know. It's a weird dynamic. Really weird. But according to them, they have helped Shalon financially. They have helped him buy cars. They've helped him. He had a baby

I know my sister, her and my dad have gotten into it and they get mad at each other and stuff, but my mom always still calls my sister because my sister will get into her mode of not wanting to speak to the parents and she just won't call them or come around

You don't understand that dynamic, you know, as an adult, and you're carrying those childhood wounds with you into adulthood, where you feel rejected, especially when you see, like, in your case and in Shalon's case and in Carrion's case, you're seeing your parents remarry and have another family that you're not really a part of

Now, I do understand with him being hurt not to have a mother, especially like all the mothers that he's seen as a role model, like he wanted that mother that everybody else had. I could tell you as a 43 year old woman, I wanted the mother. Everybody had to, but I didn't get her.
