Do we need life skills when we can just pay someone else to do it?

Maybe you have a flat tire and you're in a situation where your cell phone's dead. So then what? We can't request roadside assistance. We have no connection. But what are we going to do? We got to change that tire. What are we going to do? We got to jump that battery. If I'm snowed in at my house, I got to eat, right? I can't get DoorDash, I can't do grubhub

Actually, outside of my son's dad, I knew more about cars than pretty much every man I've been with, because my dad made me get out there. I had to help him change my brakes, you know what I mean? I had to help him bleed my tires. I had to hand him the tools as he was taking off my brake pads and putting on new brake pads. I had to help him to maintain my car

Hey, SIS. It's crazy that this is what you talked about on Thursday night. Sorry, let me put the volume down. It's crazy that this is what you talked about on Thursday night when Thursday my parents and I literally were just having this conversation about men of this generation. So my dad is older now, and I was reminiscing and saying how sometimes I share how my dad growing up, he used to do everything for me. I really was like, daddy's princess

Now that we can pay people to do things, it's like we would just rather pay people instead of keeping that money and investing it in something that's more useful for us while developing new skills in gardening and landscaping. I ain't going to lie. Yard work is not my favorite. I'll cut my own grass. I have a problem with that. But I don't like yard work

I feel bad for this current generation. They don't really have people that really want to teach them certain things. And so it's good that in our era, we had people that wanted to teach us life skills, that wanted to make sure we had some tools that would help us into adulthood, whether we were married or single. So I value everything that my mom taught me growing up. I've never had to go a day without cooking
