I need to get rid of any people in my life I need to get rid of, or any places that I need to be or not be or any of those things. And so, for me, I've gone to lots of singles conferences. I have led a singles ministry. I did it for about four years. I've read lots of books on marriage, relationships, dating, singleness. I've dated. I've dated on apps, I've dated in real life

There are days where you are happy. You don't really think about being single because you've got too many other things on your plate. But then there are moments where you really sit in that and realize, wow, I'm not only single, but I'm aging and getting and single. So I just wanted to share that with you. I'm at that point in my life where I just don't feel the need to do all of this. Writing my husband letters, acting like when I'm cooking, that I'm cooking for me and my family, and pretending that I'm going home to take care of my family, and pretending like I'm living like a married woman when I'm not a married woman

I remember doing a post, something about dating, and I don't know what I said, but I did have a Facebook friend who was my friend for a few years. He jumped in my inbox because he didn't really know I was single. And we did go out. It didn't work out, but those are usually like virtue signaling to people like, hey, I'm single, so, hey, it could work, and somebody could land in the inbox, and there you go

I tell you, I may have mentioned it before or probably in the earlier part of this, that she only dated like twice within the past 25 years. And I keep telling her, there's nothing wrong with you. There's nothing wrong with her. Sometimes it's something wrong with men. And the last part, I'm going to end with this here. And so yes, having all of these profiles at your disposal can definitely make it a lot more difficult to choose, especially as a woman. You post a picture and you've got men everywhere telling you you're beautiful, liking, loving, commenting, dming you, telling you how good you look. But at the same time, do we really have options or do we have an illusion of options?
