Is the Influencer Era Coming to An End?

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
Hey, swell family. I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday night. So, are we starting to see the end of the influencer era as we know it? Right now, we see a lot of influencers, and these are people with large followings. And many of these people have quit their nine to five jobs to pursue this full time

Hi Tonya. Thank you for posting this last night. I was gathering my thoughts about this before bed, and I realized that most of the influencers or content creators that I listen to, I listen to the ones that talk about life mostly, but sometimes they do promote certain products, but very little of the time. And then there are some commentators who, they don't promote anything at all. The only thing they really promote is how to budget and live your best life healthfully and joyfully

Political Influencers Embrace Thought Leadership, Shifting Focus to Expertise and Insight

The rise of social media made it easier for the political influencers to connect directly. And, you know, this has given them this platform to share the ideas and engage more meaningful in more meaningful conversations. I think swell is going to move towards the forefront of that thought leadership as it relates to apps that are so well designed to help us, to guide us, the technology. The AI is now assisting thought leadership in this sphere, I think, in a real positive way

And so being aware of that as an influencer, because you are an influencer, I think is very important. Instead of trying to continue to push and sell all these expensive brands, and then you've got companies that are scaling back on that, it's like, why are we sending you all this free stuff just for you to, you know, market it to your. Your audience?

By no means. I'm just speaking in general. She was just an example I gave. But, you know, you don't want an influencer that's completely tone deaf to what's happening in the world. So thank you so much

Hey, just given a little input on the topic in regards to influencers. I guess I'll start with saying to whom much is given, much is required. And when I say that, it's almost like, not necessarily a celebrity, but some people look forward to hearing from their influencers. They may do something daily, weekly, monthly, and, you know, people are looking out for them

But I think what happens with a lot of things definitely has had his time, but something new is probably on the horizon, and that's usually what happened. It's almost like having, like, a game system. When I was younger, it was about Atari, Nintendo, Sega Genesis. But what happened is, as time progresses, you know, something new is always again on the horizon and getting ready to come out

And then when she's like, oh, try this, try that, I'm like, you know what? I can't afford that. I can't afford to pay $150 for makeup. $150 just for foundation. That's ridiculous. But sometimes what she does is she'll show you what you can get. That's an equivalent to that for $8. So I love that about her

A lot of people on that app made a lot of money because nobody was going out. People needed entertainment and things like that. And you had a lot of these personalities on there that were hitting what we call quotas on there if you decide to be a host. And they were hitting the quota where you get $24,000 a month. So they was out there balling out of control, you know?

And then in my community, they'll go run and buy the product because I'm authentic and I share, you know, with what's real. Right? And so another thing that's happening with the astrological, with the planets and the stars, is we ended a new cycle. We ended a new chapter of illusion. Okay? Anything dating back from 2012 up until 2024, which actually was it left in April, April 2024

But there are other, like, two or three other people that I follow that also do train travel videos and people that, you know, do the band life videos and those that do tiny home videos. Like, everybody's kind of got there. Everybody's kind of getting into this stuff. And it's easier and easier for people to make an entrance into these spaces that you really have more pressure now than ever to stand out

And so it became really big then, but it's starting to die out now because folks are back to normal living, and we can go wherever we want to go and do what we want to do. So we don't need to sit at home or be glued to our phones all the time. So thank you so much for this

And it's healthier that way, too. If you really want to focus on health, it's better to do it at home. You know what's in your food, you know what's not in your food. And so it's healthier and safer as well. Well, but thank you so, so much for your input

People were definitely making tons of money on full time content creation, and it was very lucrative. People that have millions of followers are easily raking in six figures. I mean, easily raking that in. They're getting thousands and thousands of dollars every month. And you can see even on YouTube, where a lot of folks have now become full time content creators

So what they care about is going to be reflected in the algorithm. It's just going to be different. So I think what we can see as an influencer will be different. Like, I don't think you're gonna get by on, you know, makeup tutorials and talking about relationships and gender wars like people were two or three years ago. I think it's going to be. It's going to shift

Big Shiut out to You - Next Level influencing

I've been here for race issues and marital issues, and I think swell, the swell platform and how we do business here is a new type of influencing, and it's not for. It won't be for everyone. It will be, though, for folks that want to get a little bit deeper and have more substance driving the decisions that they make
