Corey Holcomb says there is no excuse for 40 year olds to not have an established life and career

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
Some people have gone through very difficult divorces that have left them with nothing. They're having to regroup because either they lost everything in the divorce or they had to split everything, split all the assets, and so now they're having to start again. So many things can happen in life. You just never know how life is going to end up. It can literally change from one moment to the next. And so you can't really judge a person's position based on where they are right now

Or leave something in the microwave too long, kaboom. It's gone. So if we're basing our value or if we're judging if we've matured by the number of things we've collected, that's stupid, especially since most of us are getting these things on credit. Big capitalist society, big on consumerism

They didn't have anything. And then all of a sudden they work hard, what they call American Dream, they work hard and the next thing you know that few years after they arrived, they made such they are doing very well. They have houses, they have businesses and so on. So any statement like that, that they put 40 is like the age with a standard age. How can you really have that 44 worldwide to have the same by 40?

At the same time, no human being could put an age on when you're supposed to be established. And saying that in today's economy is kind of asinine of Corey, because again, like you mentioned, he's in a station of life where he don't have to worry about paying a certain amount or having a certain amount to pay rent and things like that

For example, Albert Einstein published his very famous general relativity theory when he was in his twenty s like twenty five, twenty seven years old. And he published a paper that changed the world forever and How We Understand the Universe. Like one of the biggest accomplishments in physics history, in all of the human history. So it was an enormous accomplishment for all of us, and I am sure that it was for him as well. But you don't have to be Albert Einstein

I know people who did everything right as far as going to school, going to college, getting married, having their children, and they still ended up divorced or they lost their spouse. Things happen. I mean, that's just what it is. And so if you're like Corey, and you're in a position where you're making a good income and he's a comedian. He does a podcast, but he's a comedian. That's his primary profession

And if they don't reach that milestone, then we have to start looking at some things with the child to see if there's some developmental delays somewhere that's keeping them from hitting certain quote unquote milestones. But when we're adults, we shouldn't still be living by quote unquote milestones. We look at marriage as a milestone, children as a milestone. And so if you've not reached those milestones, then what's going on? What's wrong with your life?

But is his comedy giving something back to society? Is his comedy helping to improve and impact the world around him? Is the world different or is the world better because of a Corey Holcomb? Probably not. And, yeah, probably not. We appreciate his accomplishments and things like that. He's accomplished some things in his life. He's done a few things. I mean, he's been on some movies, some TV shows, and he's done some comedy and stuff

I just did it at the time that was right for don't. None of us have to be Albert Einstein. We don't have to be anybody outside ourselves. We should be measuring our success based on what work we have done to get to where we want to be. And we should not be comparing ourselves. But as I was telling someone else on here, I was Holcomb's of the world that have people looking at social media mad because this person's living one way and I'm not
