And so when we get to a place where what we're doing is not moving this assignment forward, when we get to a place where we're no longer interested in learning anything else, we feel like we've been doing this so long, we've learned everything we need to learn. We know everything we need to know. We're not interested in getting to another level in our knowledge. Those are some signs that it's time to hand it over

So they don't want to listen to their ideas. And even though it may be things that could help and things that could bring in revenue, they still don't want to listen because this person is trying to take my position instead of thinking about this person is trying to help the company to be better. And so because of that, things don't change for the better and you end up losing good people because you're not progressing and people want to progress

So that's who I work best with. The ones in the middle, I just don't know how to reach them. And honestly, I really don't have the patience to even try to reach them

They want to stay there and they want to continue to be in charge and continue to lead, even though clearly their time has passed as far as leading. And it's time to turn it over to someone else. But because like you said, they are reliable. They do a good job, they get the job done for the most part. So if it ain't broke, you don't want to fix it
