Why Are We So Angry?

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
And so being exposed to so much of that has caused negative emotions to rise up within us because we're reading so many things that go against our own belief system. We're reading so much negative media about our race, about our gender, about our communities, about our cultures, and it's really causing people to become so incredibly angry. People will now just flip out and cuss you out over the smallest minor things. Folks are just jumping out of cars and shooting people now

I think this is even why you hear people say that they don't, quote, unquote, believe in science. It almost becomes mystical when there's so much science to wrap your head around and to try to understand, it almost becomes mythological, unreal. And so I could understand why some people will say they don't believe in science

That how harmful, how disastrous this aggressive patterns of behavior could be for them. They fail to understand that how much it is making them weak from inside instead of making them stronger. Because if you are not showing anger, if you are resisting your anger, that takes a lot of courage from you somewhere. You have to show that courage that I am resisting anger instead of just immediately reacting to something. They must learn to use their pause button somewhere and they must learn to respond to it

They don't know what's going to happen next. And this was just like the first wave of COVID So everything you said resonated with me. It really did, because there is so much uncertainty. And like you said, with the advancing technology, which is evolving daily, every day there's something new with AI. Every day there's something new. With Chat GPT, every day there's something new

It seems like all of us are in the same boat together to some extent. And so who can you turn to for help? Because it seems like all of us are in this together. And so definitely am praying for all of these young people who know a culture of violence

You. Hello, Tanya. Thank you for inviting me. I think too much of anything except for God and the Holy Ghost can be a bad thing. And I think in the world that we're in tonight, the world that we're in now, we have too much access to things. We have too much access to people's lives, which makes us feel like we're entitled to have access to everybody's lives, right? Because some people post every single, every minute of the day

When I was listening to you, you reminded me of something I heard someone say. I don't know who it was, but essentially there's a generation that was born just prior to 911, and their entire lives have been filled with major events that have happened in the world, in the country. And can you imagine living with that level of not only uncertainty, but just major things going on? It just blew my mind when I heard that

And I know a lot of therapists have mentioned it. A lot of doctors, like dentists, they mentioned how people are coming in for a number of things related to stress, like when you grind your teeth at night, when you're clenching your jaw. I work in the health care field as well, and people are coming in for injuries that they didn't address during the pandemic because they didn't want to subject themselves to illnesses and things like that

I can definitely see that because it's difficult. You want to celebrate for people, you want to celebrate with people. But when it's being jammed in your face all the time, it's kind of like, gosh, it's like when I'm on Facebook, it's like, okay, all these people have birthdays every day. I just can't wish everybody a happy birthday. So what I do most of the time is if I see their birthday posts, I'll say Happy birthday

Hello, Edward. Thank you so much for chiming in. I agree we do lack the ability to manage our emotions in this day and time. It used to be a lot easier, I think, for some people to manage emotions. But right now, you have so many things that are evoking different emotions, whether it's hatred, whether it's fear, whether it's frustration, anger, whether it's hopelessness

As all these nonprofits started cropping up, they needed grant writers. They needed people who knew how to compose a letter that would get someone to invest in their nonprofit. Well, now you have AI. Can do that for you. You have AI that's writing scripts now. That's why you have the writers in Hollywood that are boycotting the Screen Actors Guild boycotting because they want to get AI to write scripts and not use people to write scripts anymore. I mean, it's amazing

They want us to see whether it's true or not. And we know about television. Back in the day it was what, tell lies to your vision? Me, the old folks try to warn us about this, but it's like we literally live off these things and I think that's what's influencing people. So great topic. I touched on a lot. I hope I made some sort of sense. So I agree

Yes, there is still a lot of segregation. There is still a lot of mistreatments of marginalized and disenfranchised communities. There's still slavery over there. There's still a lot of vile acts and ills that are going on in these nations in Africa. But in America, hey, we get up every day. Most of us went to liberal arts colleges. We got degrees. Or some of us may have gone to HBCU, we got degrees. We go to work every day in corporate America

You. Thanks. I just wanted to circle back just to say thank you for your reply. I agree with what you said, especially when it comes to being black. I don't let people put me in a victim box. I'm sorry. You're just not going to do that. And so I so agree with you. It's funny. My boyfriend often calls me well, it's a slur. He calls me a coon. You a coon?

We are in decay and decline

Like a year, two years later, sometimes maybe not even 20 years later, but they will come to light as lies. But when you look at history, Rome is an example, but when you look at history, you will see that a peoples will come up in the world, they will become important in the world, like China is doing right now. And they will take over everything. They will be a superpower and then they go the other direction

Coming up on the 4 July that we have so much, like you said, decay in our nation and in our culture. We have so much decay and decline that summed it up perfectly. Decay and decline is exactly what we are seeing. I was just thinking about a video I saw a couple of weeks ago of a guy inside of a store setting a display on fire. Like, Dude, why are you setting a display on fire? People going into I saw another lady

But you're absolutely correct, an increasing number of Coles do. And I think the reasons why is because we've normalized rage. We started out in the think possibly the we had shock radio. Howard Stern was one and Rush Limbaugh was another, and they would say the most considered at that time, the most outrageous things. And a segment of us here in America, we like that. And so we would do things like have rushrooms

I remember when people like Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh would say things on the air that would practically get them banned off the radio and how people were calling for them because they would say things that made people angry, but they knew what they were doing. They just did it early in life now. But now it's normal because you have YouTube, I can get on there and react angrily to stuff. Anybody can do it, and it draws views and it draws attention. But you're right
