Pastor Mike Todd upset about "another" staff member leaving the ministry

Or will they really take it to God in prayer and really ask God to help them understand or help them give clarity on the situation? Like, how can pastors really handle this type of information? Thank you so much for listening

I don't think we fully have a full realization, not the full brunt of us have a full realization that we are the body. We still are looking at the church as being outside of us, and we belong to it. Right. And so that's why we do these things. And I think we also do that with the leaders. We deify them in a way that just comes with the culture, whether we want to say it in those terms or not

Hi, Tanya. This is a good one. And I'm glad you brought it here to swell, where we can have a conversation, because I did actually comment on this on Facebook. I do follow Brother Damon, brother be heard, period. And so I made a comment, but, you know, it's not the same as a conversation

And what's funny is that I didn't even visit any of my friends churches like their new churches that they joined. None of them were even options for me to join. I wasn't interested in any of that. So it wasn't like if I would have left, it wasn't like I was following them at all. I just need to be somewhere where I felt like I fit in

And when you make gods out of people, that's when they're really able to hurt you. And so, yes, I agree. Toxic relationships we have with churches. And a lot of times, I think a lot of the reason why people leave and don't say why is because we see too often where members are the ones held responsible for the offenses that occur in church. And again, going back to toxic relationship, we have been made to believe that you're supposed to tolerate everything

I said aunts, but they got family members there with them. And so when they look out in the congregation, they're seeing their cousins and everybody else out there. When I look out in the congregation, I don't have anybody out there that I have history with

It's not a victim, but I've been accused of making subliminal posts towards people. I've had people screenshot my posts and take them back to church leaders. And that's why I don't friend any of my church leaders on my socials, because I've had people take my stuff back to church leaders and make it seem as though I was talking about them, even though I was just talking about no one in particular, about nothing in particular. So I get that, too

There seem to be, from what I saw from the conference, some young guys, and I call guys that are like in their early 30s, young guys, which would be great because I'm coming with my son. So if he could see men in leadership and not a church full of women, I'm down with that. But girl, their services are way too long. I do not need an hour plus of praise and worship. I don't need it. I come with my praise
