DINKS: Dual Income, No Kids

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
I don't understand the comparison aspect of it because you can't compare a child free life with a life with children. They're two different lives. Life doesn't end when you have children. A new life begins once you become a parent. And so I think that some of these Dinks, in their heart of heart, some of them wish that they were parents. Some of them wish that they could have children, and for whatever reason, they haven't

And for many years, people kept on asking, why can't we have kids? Why don't you have kids? Something is wrong with you. And I hear this on social media too, and I see blogs about it, and we've heard it from our family members and from church members. And what they don't understand is some people probably can't conceive or don't want to conceive. I've read blogs about dinks who they can conceive, but they both have chosen not to

Hey, thank you for including this information. I didn't even know anything about dinks or whatever. I mean, back in the day, like, if you didn't want to have kids, you know, I heard people bragging about it. I ain't got no kids, girl. I can go where I want, do what I want, excuse the background, notice I'm noise. I am at the dentist. However this is. That's crazy

That, to me, is just at the end of the day, you want to not be selfish, and you want to provide a child a good life. So there needs to be balance. So this was very interesting. TikTok with all the trends, the more you know

But doing it in way that rubs it in people's faces or, I don't know, just highlights how you're supposed to be living a better life than any other people beyond the very traditional ways of doing that on social media. I think it's kind of creepy and strange, and I'm not sure why we've arrived here as a society. I think part of it is sort of the point and laugh angle

So, yeah, there were some negatives, and then I looked in the comments section and there were some people, like I have mentioned before, who they were shamed for not having kids. And one lady said that they're sterile and her mate, or just her mate, are sterile, so they can't have kids. And so they've had to endure the stigma for a long time

Hey, sis. Thank you so much for your response. I agree with you 100% wholeheartedly. People can be very insensitive to those who don't have children or who can't have children. It's almost like when a couple gets married, it's the natural progression. And in most cases, it really is the natural progression. Just like the little nursery rhyme goes, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes fill in the blank with a baby carriage

I think we all know some dinks. I know some dinks. I think we all know some dinks in our lives. We all know that one married couple that just never had children, but they just enjoy their lives and enjoy one another, and they're not concerned one way or another. Either they've gotten too old to have kids and it doesn't matter at this point, or they just never felt like kids were a part of the equation for their lives

@Taylor

That in itself, having children is not the greatest teacher of what unconditional love is. It's not the greatest measure of what unconditional love is by any stretch of the imagination. That's what I'm saying. I hear it on both sides. I hear the people with kids believing they got the upper hand in life and then the people with no kids who feel like they got the upper hand in life

Hey, sis, thank you for this link. I'm definitely going to check this out. I looked at a little bit of it and he had the dinks and then he had the. Oh, gosh, the ones with the dogs. The double income, no kids with a dog dink wa. And then they have the sink. The single income, no kids. And, and what else did they have? What else did I see?
