Black Americans Are Moving Abroad for New Opportunities

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
You probably have to keep money saved up all the time for a plane ticket just in case you need to come home. Even still, even if it's an emergency trip home, it can take quite some time if you're flying commercial to get all the way from Europe to the United States. Also, the culture shock life is just different in other countries. Yes, we pretty much do some of the same things, but we may do them much differently

And so I think that traveling overseas is something I think everybody should experience. Now, living overseas, that's a whole different beast. But traveling overseas, I think it is something you should experience. It's just that you have to really sit down, count the costs, and decide, can you afford the move and how you will sustain yourself and survive once you make that move? Do you want to raise children in another country?

Hi, Tanya. Yeah, I've read stories of black authors and other creatives and just black people in general who fled America because everything was just so tied to race instead of our humanity, everything was, you know, about us, was, and still is, picked apart our features, our race. When you have influence, yeah, you have more privilege than the average person. And so you can get away with a few more things, and you'll have access to things that other people normally don't have access to. And yes, that's headline news. Josephine Baker moving to Paris, France. That's worldwide news right there that puts a spotlight on Paris, France, because everybody will want to know, well, what is it about know?

They're from Texas, and so they decided to go back home. So, yeah, you definitely have to know if living away from your homeland is really for you. It seems like people that move to the United States have more success than people who leave the United States, because you see people, of course, coming to the United States in droves, and they learn to establish themselves, start businesses, get jobs, and create a life for themselves here in the United States
