What he meant by that is, even in relationships that we consider platonic, because we're men and women, we are naturally created to be attracted to one another. And so even though we're still calling these friendships because they're not romantic relationships, feelings develop and feelings can grow just from two people of the opposite sex building a relationship and building intimacy within that relationship

So, yeah, we have to be very careful with that, not to cross lines. Because in situations like that, when someone does decide to pursue a serious relationship with someone else, someone always ends up getting hurt or it always ends up being this whole, I realized how I felt about you after you got with somebody else. Now I realize that I've always loved you and I've always cared for you, and I've always wanted to be with you
