Were women more "marriage-able" back in the dey?

But now, today, that seems to be more often than not, women are single career women. So one thing that I mentioned to him was the way we build community today is way different than it was back then. Back then, you were able to meet people through family, through church, through school. You knew people in your immediate vicinity in your town

And I think we're dealing with a lost value system that is standing that's kind of causing a divide between men and women. Because the values that women had instilled in them back then are no longer really being instilled in women today. And so I do believe there are a lot of quality women that are definitely marriage material today. It's just that we might have to get back to some of those traditional patterns and habits and really have family values

I have a voice, I have an opinion, and I have standards. And men in this generation, they don't want to hear nothing about that. They still out being players, thinking they papa gold diggers. No, I want you to look at me as a woman that I am and respect me as the woman that I am now. I'm not playing games at this age. I'm not selling for less at this age. Back then, women settled because they knew

And then there was a change where men worked and women stayed at home. Now, I came across, you know that saying about a woman being barefooted in the kitchen and pregnant? I thought that was Thomas Jefferson that said it, but it was someone else. But it's not the saying that I'm talking about. It's the reason why I did the research and it was said to prevent divorces. Now, that's crazy. You know why?

I always say, I need one, I need one. You know what I mean? I might not need him for the same things that they needed back then, but I still need a man. And then we have to also realize that the men are not like they were back then either, because back then, the men approached the women and asked them out. The men thinking back, oh, I'm going to have to do a second part. It

Why should I have to approach him? Or when they see a man say, well, I want to be pursued some, too. I want her to show me that she want me. Ain't nobody pursuing no man. He's supposed to pursue me. I'm the catch. I'm the prize, the only Bible verse some women know. He that finds the wife, find us a good thing. But you want to be equal to him, but then you want him to do everything

I hear plenty of stories of women that were married back in that era that were very happy, that had beautiful families with their husbands, loving husbands, devoted husbands, faithful husbands, and raised beautiful family. And to this day, their children and grandchildren speak so highly of them as a couple. And so I don't understand why people think that all of our grandmothers and great grandmothers were just being so badly abused in their marriages

Porn is a multibillion dollar industry in our country, between OnlyFans pornhub and all the myriad of other porn sites that are out there that are lesser known, there is a multibillion dollar industry. Can you imagine that? And to say that that does not have an effect on relationships and how people relate to one another, it certainly does. It has a tremendous effect on that. That and so I think that there's a middle ground

He respected the fact that she was a widow. She had three young girls, and he respected that. And I love how their relationship developed. But like you said, men would ask women out. Men would approach a woman a woman and ask her on a date. It wasn't all this rejection mindset where, of course, there's a 50 50 chance she might say no

I think there is a question of number one, where do these statistics come from? Right? And number two, why are we looking at them as negative? Have we had conversations about the positives of being single for people who don't want to be married? There's numbers for that. We have unmarried men out there. The country has about 49% of men in America are not married and some 60 something percent of women are unmarried
