Does the show go on even in the midst of a strike?

And so at some point, you do have to pick up and move forward, at least honoring the fact that you're not going to use pre written material. You're going to circumvent that and do the best you can until everything is negotiated. At the same time. I understand how the Screenwriters feel. Like, if we are all one, if we are all working together, and if you claim to support our cause, then why would you pick up and move on without us?

Hey, what's going on, Tonya? So this is a really tricky situation because whenever you strike, whenever you stand up, whenever you try to make a point, you never know what the outcome is going to be. Especially when you're dependent on other people to participate, when it's an interdependent movement or something that you're trying to do something that you're trying to accomplish because everyone may not be on the same level. Everyone's financial situation may not be the same

At the same time, I understand where the writers are coming from because they're like, hey, if you're really for us and you support our cause and you understand where we're coming from, and some of you all also might be part of the Screenwriters Guild as well, then why are you going to cave? Like you were saying, why are you going to cave and go back to work and just try to work around having screenwriters?

I don't think they should be using AI. I think they should let know continue in their craft. I support, you know, like you said, when is it going to end? And then when I think about that, I think about the UAW. So right now, here in Michigan, and I believe it's at the Ford plant, the UAW is they're in contract negotiations. They haven't went on a strike yet. I don't believe

But I think people need to remember you weren't always up there. You had to start from somewhere. And sometimes we detach ourselves from the human experience where we know what it feels like to deal with that. So, no, the show must not go on. It shouldn't. You shouldn't want it to. You should want it to be fair. And if you're not about fairness, then why would I want to watch you anyway and support you? That doesn't seem fair

And that's a scary prospect for a lot of writers now that these things can be all you have to do is put a command in there and you can get an entire script written. You can get all sorts of things written without the need of human hands to do it. And so maybe some writers fear that if the shows go on without them, the show will continue to go on without them

Some folks are very much passionate about making sure that they get what they deserve. And then you got some that are just kind of in the middle. So, yeah, there'll be some people that will gladly go back to work after that would come back to work right now. Some of the writers would come back to work right now. I'm sure if they could, they would go back to work. But then you have some they're going to hold out until the end
