Plastic Surgeon Loses License due to Tiktok videos

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
And it's just wild, just crazy, very campy videos that they're doing in the office. So this went on for quite some time because it was her office, so she was running everything, and this went on for a while. So she would get in the surgeries with her patients and video the process while it was going on

But you can't do it at the expense of other people. And my mother used to work in surgery, and when she would have her surgeries or whatever, there were times where I would call her and they would patch me through to the operating room, and you might hear some soft music going, but they went in there going, book wild either. You know what I'm saying? I'm talking years ago because this is when I was a teenager, so we talking in the 80s

I'm putting my life in your hands, literally, you know, because I don't know if I'm awake up. I don't know, you know, if something is gonna go wrong. And anytime they put you to sleep like that and they go in and operate, anything could happen, you know? I mean, even the best surgeon who's paying the most attention, things happen out of their control. It happens all the time

I don't need none of that stuff. I need folks that are focused on what's happening on that table, and that's where the focus should be. And yes, I know surgeries get long sometimes, and you do talk. I mean, that's just normal. We talk when we do our jobs, so it's normal to talk. And that part I don't have a problem with

Hey, Tanya. Yeah, thank you for posting this. It definitely goes back to just this social media world. Whereas back in the day, you know, doctors and surgeons, people on their jobs, they did their jobs. There was no day to days about what they do, any videos about that

But I will add on that I myself don't go overboard on crazy things like that, but to those that do, it's good that you and others, especially on this platform, are being aware of what's going on in our world. Because if you look back right now, a lot of it is getting centered

Because I agree with all of you it used to be a time where the decency was really the way of living but now with the social media era there is no limit of what we can post online. There's no limit of what we can do with taking pictures, video, videos and anything that happens perhaps you will be seeing people going to the bathroom and then posting whatever they are doing in the bathroom

Hey, Erica, thank you so much for your response. And you're right. It's about being seen. Everybody wants to be seen. Everybody wants to get their 15 minutes of fame. Everybody wants to go viral. And it's those desires that cause people to throw caution to the wind and not make good common sense choices. I mean, how many young children have we seen die because of the latest TikTok challenge?

And her niche was her plastic surgery practice. But at the same time, you still have a responsibility to your patients to protect them and to make sure that they're safe. And she did not do that. She didn't do that. And so I get it

That's the mindset of this culture nowadays, that I don't care what I got to do. We see kids dying behind TikTok challenges. They're losing their lives or they're ending up in the hospital. We see people losing their jobs over TikTok. We see people losing their families over TikTok because they did something that was humiliating, and they ended up divorced. They did something that was humiliating, and they ended up embarrassing their children to the point where they can't go to school

Like it's almost like consider yesterday's trash because it's like you go on your media and you say you're influencer. Well, you got Facebook and Instagram that are trying to block people. Now if you are considered an influencer because they don't know and this makes sense, they don't know what kind of influencer you are, so how are they supposed to trust you? And this is a chance that they're taking on you and they're people that are followers on their own platform
