Why do we rush people to move on after a breakup?

But one of the things that we have to consider is the fact that a breakup is like a death. And there's a loss. There's a loss of a relationship. There's a loss of hopes and dreams, a loss of expectations. And the loss, like I said, of a relationship. It's the loss of a person and that place and their place in your life. So I'm willing to believe that there is a grieving process that goes with this loss that has occurred

And so I guess from my frame of mind, I'm kind of one of those people that encourages people to get back out there. Now I'm realistic with it. Family relationships is different. I think we can admit that some folks were together, but their heart wasn't really in it. They were in it out of loneliness, out of convenience. Maybe they were in it because somebody had some money, somebody had a place to stay

@DearAuntyAng

Hey, SIS. Thank you for your response. I think they're variables to this because just because someone doesn't remarry or get back into a new relationship quickly doesn't necessarily mean that they won't ever get back into a relationship. Everybody goes through their process, and we just don't know even what process God has taken them through. So I've had friends that divorced and remarried quickly
