But it's troubling when you see a happy couple one day and then hear about divorce the very next day. How do we renew th in marriage? How do we convince singles that there is worth in marriage, that marriage has value even in this chaotic culture we live in that there is still value in marriage? How do we do that when the news around us says otherwise? Thank you so much

I've always said I never want to be a celebrity because I don't want to be part of that world. It's just not something we regular folks will ever understand. They post all the time on social media. They're always in the limelight. And for the life of me, I cannot understand why people think that just because they're posting that they're happy, that they really are happy. We don't know these people. They're not even, like, acquaintances

I don't know why the rest of the world is subject to their indecisiveness, but that's what we are privileged to, because they put it out. There very few marriages that I think survive the public scrutiny. You have too busy lives. Somebody has to take a backseat, and your marriage shouldn't. Your marriage is the priority

People think it sounds like everybody getting a divorce, even though it may not necessarily mean every particular person. But when we say everybody's getting a divorce, that's like saying everybody is going back to jail. When everybody that get out of jail don't go back to jail. We need to start focusing on those who's not going back. What is the remedy? What is the secret? So how is it that people are staying married? What is the secret? What's going on?

And so forgive me, I definitely am not gloating at the downfall of anyone's marriage, but this just is like I don't know, it's like a moment of satisfaction because they were just making it seem like she was just the perfect woman, and she was the example that every black woman needed to live up to. And now here she is, divorced at his doing. He filed, and she will now be a single mother

But we take our cues from social media so much, from pictures, from videos, from interviews, so much that we believe we know these know, I did that one swellcast on parasocial relationships where we really believe we know these folks. We really believe we know Jeezy and Jeannie personally. We really believe we know everything about their marriage, everything about their life

So, yeah, we know that everybody's not getting a divorce, but I guess because lately we've just been seeing so many celebrity marriages ending, I guess some folks just feel like, well, dang, because of course, average people, their divorces aren't publicized. I mean, it becomes public record, but it's not publicized. So we don't always know what's going on in average people's lives

And I've seen in celebrity situations where marriages didn't last or marriages did not even happen, like, they might have gotten engaged, and they've never even made it down the aisle simply because they're living on two different coasts. They're never really together. And when they are together, they can spend minimal time together because they got to leave and go to the next project or the next location. And it's just really difficult, next to impossible to maintain a relationship like that

These amazing celebrities, and you get to have your face, your name as a household name and all that stuff, and everybody looks at it from that vantage point, but they don't look at it from the point of not really having any privacy, not really being able to control who has access to your life. Always having to be on a schedule. You're always on a schedule. You're always being shipped off here and there and everywhere. You don't really get down time

And so I guess going through a second divorce maybe is not as difficult because you already know and maybe because you do have a less of a tolerance than second time around that you're not going to stay through the stuff you stayed through through your first marriage. So it's like, okay, I know the red flags. I see the signs. I already know where this is going. So let me just go ahead and file because I ain't going through this again
