They've been beat up through sports, especially NFL, which is full contact basketball, not so much. And that's why you have a lot of basketball players that play well into their 30s, around 40. But a lot of football, football players have a short shelf life because of the fact that they're in a full contact sport, and they're getting ran into multiple times every game for like 17 weeks every season. So it takes a toll on even the most fit and resilient body

Not that we're going to step out of it, but it's time for us to step back. We've taught them what they need to know and they can go out and make a better society for themselves, or they can crash and burn, but it's up to them. The thing about youth is the youth always depend on the older for advice

And I was saying, Man, I'm feeling old, when someone told me, you're not really old, you're just seasoned. So I don't think I like that. I'm just getting seasoned. I'm not working harder. I'm just working smarter

Can run the whole office by myself, do everything that needs to be done. And it would seem like there's a whole office full of people, but because I didn't have a degree, they promoted a girl over me that had a degree

But now I think even people who are older and have the wisdom to go with their age tend to focus more on their youthfulness and putting that part of their personality out there rather than sharing the wisdom that they have gained along the way. I think when you look at the corporate structure, the work structure, you want an experienced person up in the top leadership roles, because there is a certain amount of wisdom that comes with experience. Knowledge, I think, is freely available to all

And so, like you said, take a step back and allow younger voices and younger people that have more innovative ideas that are appropriate for the current culture. And so to me, I don't think I look at 70 as being old, but maybe that's because I'm 45. Maybe if I was 25, I'd be singing a different tune. But I don't see 70 as old because my parents, they're retired, but they still like to do fun things together. They still are active, they're independent, healthy, they take care of themselves. They're doing great, and I thank God for that

But much of the Bible was created by oral traditions. People telling stories, elders telling stories of their experiences is how we got most of the Bible. And so it pays to listen to wisdom. But nowadays we are in a generation where everybody feels like they're smarter than everybody else. Everybody wants to be the smartest person in the room. I don't want to admit that I need to learn some things. I don't want to admit I need to grow in some areas
