The Cam Newton Disrespect

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
Okay, well, Cam Newton is able to utilize that resource and help your kids get to the next level. Instead of seeing it as a competition and trying to discount Cam Newton and what he's able to do and his influence throughout not only the NFL, but throughout the world. Several notable NFL players got their start in Cam Newton's seven on seven league. Justin Fields, who is currently the starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears, came through Cam Newton's seven on seven league

I agree to 100%. What happened to respecting your elders? That just went out of the window. And you know, the part of the, the sad part about it is that the children get it from the parents because you said that the parents, he wind up getting into a fight or whatever with the parents as well. I didn't even see this. I'm glad you made this post because I didn't see this

He's trying to afford opportunities to people, to the young people, and they're crapping all over it. So like the previous responder has said, a lot of them get it from their parents for real. And I would have told them to leave. I would have told them to leave and I would dare a parent to say something to me

Look at the classroom culture where you have teachers sub implementing classroom materials or doing Saturday school or after school programs, and that's coming out of their pockets or offering tutoring, which essentially, if they're not paid overtime, is still coming out of their pockets. And the kids turn their noses up at it. Or some of the ones who do show up, they're just not appreciative. And it's the culture of child rearing

And then you could have an unblemished record like, let's say, what's the, Floyd Mayweather never lost a fight in his professional career, but they're still going to say something, that he runs when he fights. He's not a toe to toe fighter. He's scared. He's a coward. All this other stuff, supposedly he's illiterate. Whatever the case may be, they're going to find a way to discredit you the other day

Oh, my gosh. I can imagine if my parents knew I had done something like that. I can't even imagine the whipping I would have got when I got home. It would have been so bad. Like, I would have been so grounded. I wouldn't have seen outside for I don't know how long they weren't having that. Whatsoever. Whatsoever

But if I needed help with that, to go to the customer service desk all the way up at the front of the store and to get somebody to walk back to the back of the store with me to give me this Christmas tree. Young man, you are standing right here carrying, pushing a broom. Literally pushing a broom

I mean, they're like, these boys are like almost 300 pounds, 6ft and some change. And you want these female teachers to be an authority figure over kids that are bigger than they are? I mean, they can't help all that. But I'm just saying, it's like these teachers sometimes are at an unfair advantage. If I was a teacher, I would stick to elementary school kids. I ain't fooling with these high school kids

You're a twelve year old going to tell a 30 something year old man that he's a washed up quarterback just because he lost in the Super bowl and he's not playing in the NFL right now and he's the whole reason why you're here. He's the whole reason why you're here right now. There would be no seven on seven league right now without Cam. Not this particular seven on seven league

It makes sure those gaps aren't missing in the culture because we need them desperately. And I'm just glad, for whatever reason, he's still motivated to keep it open. And I hope that other people who have the means will take it upon themselves to do that, too. Not just to close the achievement gaps, but the soul gaps that are missing when our classrooms are jacked up, the family gaps that are missing when our classrooms are jacked up. We need that, too
