If you're just looking for a nice long, leisurely Sunday drive, a little bit curvy in some areas, the Blue Ridge Parkway is perfect. I actually went to the Mabry Mill part of Virginia on the Blue Ridge Parkway and looked at some of the exhibits that they had set up there. And just listening to the water, the Babbling brooks, and the beautiful green grass, and just walking through these areas. And these places are free, free of charge

There was actually also a stretch of Blue Ridge Parkway that I wasn't particularly familiar with. We have experienced most of the North Carolina portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway, but my experience with the Virginia portion has mostly been farther north, so towards Rowan Oak, Skyline Drive, that area. But that particular piece was new to us
