So he said, okay, well, we'll figure something else out. So I don't know if this restaurant allowed him to wash dishes and clean take out trash or whatever he was offering to do. But I feel bad for the young lady having to listen to that conversation. I know she felt awkward, maybe even embarrassed, but I can't be too hard on the guy, because at least he was trying to do something to make it right

One thing I've always noticed is that women respect honesty. They may not like you afterwards, they may not want to deal with you, but at least they will respect you for telling them the truth. And that's with all people, everyone wants to be told the truth

It's difficult to understand. I can agree with you when you said you give the credit to the guy, that he was honest. Yes, it's honest. I can't think of a single date I've ever been on where the guy got to the end of the date and couldn't pay, let alone trying to negotiate something with the restaurant staff so he could work for a couple of hours to pay the tab. So you've got to admit, this is definitely not the norm for anybody, male or female. This is not the norm
