Black women choosing single motherhood due to lack of dating options

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
Hey, swell cast family. I hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday so far. So Ebony K. Williams is trending online once again because she made a statement recently that black women are choosing single motherhood due to a lack of dating and marriage options

They're finding their half siblings, and they're connecting, and they're trying to find the dad because they just want to know. They just want to know who their dad is. They just want to know why they do certain things that they do. To me, you're not thinking about the child when you do that

Hey, Tanya. I hope you're having a great day. It's been a while since I engaged with one of your swells and this one caught my attention, so I thought I'd pop in and reply. It's interesting what Ebony Williams said, but it's not just about her. What she's talking about is a larger perspective. There is an increasing trend these days where women are choosing to be single parents. Single mothers

I do know the grandfather is very active. In fact, she lived with her parents until her mother passed away. So now she lives with her dad. So grandpa's right there. But what's interesting, too, is the background. So she was naturally born to her parents, this friend I'm talking about. But her family has been foster care family, adoptive family forever

And so now you have two people who are in love with each other that are wrestling with the idea of whether we need to break up because we are biologically related or whether we should just say, forget it. We're here. We're in love. I know it sounds ridiculous. I know common sense says, well, their brother and sister, of course they need to break up, but they're in love, and they didn't grow up together

Maybe if I grew up with one parent, I would see it a little bit differently. But because I grew up with two, I understand the need for having both the mother and the father in the home. And yes, you can surround your child with male figures, male father figures and role models and all of that, but it's just not the same. And yes, there are circumstances where the father leaves and the father dies, but at least you know something about the father

But these people have fallen in love, and they didn't grow up together as brother and sister, and they don't know each other's brother and sister. So I think about things like that, but most importantly, I just think about how society feels like it's okay for men to not be involved in children's lives, and it's not a necessity. They treat the presence of a man and a father in a child's life as if it's a luxury versus a necessity

I think there were good parts of the feminine movement, but a lot of it got distorted. It's like anything else, it got distorted, and now a lot of it has become male bashing and trying to really just push men completely out of the way. And I just don't understand it. I don't understand it. I don't get it. And it's against God's will. It really is. It's against God's will

They work hard, they earn an honest paycheck. And sometimes you have to just understand that that's really all you need. Because there's no guarantee that a rich man is going to be faithful. There's no guarantee that a rich man is going to treat you well. So, yeah, I agree with everything you said. Thank you so much

You got ten women. I mean, I don't know what the statistics are saying, but at least five of them could be wiped up. At least all ten of them don't got to be single. So you're right. It's two things at play and it's standards. So one is, like you said, women have their standard. So a guy that could marry them could get them pregnant and could raise a baby with them, they don't want the guy, right?

They treat their children like they're trash. And then they want to know why there are so few dating options as far as black men are concerned. Technically speaking, they're an embarrassment to their own people with their attitudes and with the way they carry themselves. And I'm going to say for males also, okay, everything is bitch. That bitch. This profanity in general, loudness, rude, and everything is about them, okay? The world revolves around them

They've been through no, you got a nasty attitude. If you are traumatized, you need to get healed. You need to work through that. But you don't need to keep projecting that onto other people because of unhealed wounds and scars that you've not dealt with. We're not making excuses. We're all about accountability. Be accountable for your bad, nasty attitude is what I say. Be accountable
