I guess they just become so elaborate now. Like whatever happened to the birth announcement where we're having a boy, where you just call everybody, text everybody, let them know what you're having? I don't know. What do you think? Swell family? Do you think these gender reveal parties are getting out of control or do you love the celebration of it all? Thank you so much

So they're in charge of the gender. I'm like, oh, I don't want anyone else knowing what's going on inside my body like that. Especially with pregnancy and auto hormones. I'm like, that's our baby. It feels so invasive, like other people know and other people are buying stuff and they're planning for it based on this gender that they know. And I don't know. The whole thing is cringe

So at the gender reveal party, the guests are wearing either pink or blue, depending on which gender they think the baby is. And so they build the anticipation. Of course, you don't find out till later on in the party. After everybody's eaten and fellowshipped and all that stuff, played games and things, you find out at the end of the gender reveal party what they're having. And so that's what I've seen. Everybody guesses

Hey, Tanya. Oh, the engagement parties. Listen, those things. Now, from what I understand, because I go to church with a huge nigerian population, from what I understand, the engagement party could be traditionally like the proposal because everybody knows except the woman. So the parents know. The guy has gotten the parents permission. Her parents know, but I'm not sure how to do the party. But I guess they do it as a surprise and he proposes right there
