Travers Day thread

I try to bet where my best opinion is. Some people want action throughout every race. That's not me. I just try to find opinions that I think are strong and I try to wager correctly with those. So if you have a play, please post it below. If you liked horse, let me hear. I'd love to hear what your thoughts for the Drivers day or anything later today, Saratoga or Del Mar. I'd love to hear it

Dunbar Road

The good news is we have six grade one races at Saratoga, so it's going to be a great day of racing. The bad news is we have a lot of shortpriced favorites, and we have a lot of shortpriced favorites that look really good on paper. Looks like they might get some real easy trips and be very tough to beat. However, all that being said, Saratoga is known as the graveyard a champion

Jerkens

Phil, I'm curious to know your thoughts on the Jerkins race. Life is good during the clock, Jackie's Warrior and following C. I think following C is a major threat in that race. I don't know who gets the lead. Don't know who wins this race. All four of those are dominant in different ways. I think the most you could use is two. You couldn't go three or four. I would look to single this race and just live and die with my opinion

No chalk in the jerkens

Oh, where to start on this Jerkins? I love the Jerkins race, and I've always loved it since 2008, when Hard Spun, one of my favorite horses of all time, won this race. But it's always a good mix of horses that have been on the Derby trail that are really wanting to sprint instead of the classic distances. And you're going up against horses that are classic sprinters that have been sprinting this whole time. And it's a real test at a three year old

What's up, everyone? Happy Traverse Day. Let's get into it. Race one. This is a doozy. If you're playing pick five, I guess you play it. But if you're just going to bet the race, I would probably stay away with it from it unless you got awesome insider info. And if you have it, let me know because I need a horse to use, but I am very strong around the number seven Dr. Davis in this race

And going in race two. I'm going to try to be narrow here. Not supernatural, but I'm going to try to beat the nine to five morning line favorite in Jack Christopher and Chad Brown horse making his first start just purchased out of money. But I'm not really into him chatting on the dirt first time. Not my biggest angle. I'm big in the pledge. Rapoli be better, Uncle Mo. This horse is going to be good, I believe

Kitten by the Sea to the hoop! R3

Pledger gave him a pretty long break and then brought him back, ran a good first race and lost by a couple of quarter of a length or so and then smoked him at Saratoga last time out. And I think this horse is going to steadily approve. And I think both the Chads are over bet here. You can make a bet, love and Thunder at seven to five. And I'm a big believer in speed. Figures matter

Any horse really coming from Mama to me doesn't get a nod. And then you got the one who I'm nervous about potentially with high opinion Louisiana's aboard, but just based off a class and this horse's running line, I don't see this horse getting up in time. I think there's too much, too many better horses. So I'm used 2345 here and I'll make it to the last leg, which is the payout leg

R5

This horse hasn't done a ton of running, but I think there's a lot more in the tank here, and I expect a big bounce back effort for duty cancel and blown stables. I'm going to be using fortnight here the end to pick five

My hurdles P5: 4710/34/7/2345/49

And if you're looking at my ticket, I use a couple posttime favorites. My biggest hurdles are in race two and three, where I toss the favorite in the second leg, and then I single the 8th don't want. And that's all you really need to get a payout because the other legs you're just like trying to be too nervous about them because you want to get your opinion out and you want to get paid for your opinion

I'm going to add one to your list. I'm going to add the Dallas Stewart horse in here. That one was pretty well bet in our debut. And I'm a big fan of Dallas Stewart and the horses he ships up to Saratoga are usually, if not always, his best stock. And he brings him ready to roll up there. And that was pretty well bet in the debut hit the gate. I think you can really Ross that first race there

Great call Mitch! 6-1 shot getting it done!

Well, Mitch, our pick of the day definitely came through there. I was not sure that that horse was going to get up. I thought the horse at the inside, that JuD Mount horse was going to nail us, but didn't happen. I will take it. I've got our keyed onto Hop and pick three here that I went pretty deep in both the subsequent races here. So looking forward to that. My pick five is done
