But anywho it had a picture of special needs children on the front of it as well. So I'd seen that pretty frequently when we'd gone in when I was younger. One night in particular when we had gone there to have dinner and after my dad had paid, he decided that he'd do something nice and he dropped a couple quarters in and then he handed me a mint to which I then proceeded to burst into tears

So anybody else listening, don't get upset with me because I'm addressing this on an educational level. The word retarded, it was used, I think, until the 90s or so. It's really sad because what the word means versus how it was taken are two different things. Because retarded or to retard something means just to slow it down. So when they used it in terms of educational terms right. That someone is slower

Similar to, I went out to dinner one night with friends, and it was a little bit fancier than what I'm normally used to going to. So it got time to order dessert, and we had pictures, and I'm like, oh, this actually looks pretty good, this chocolate Ganage. And then I finally had a friend just kind of chuckle, smile and just go like, kayla, honey, chocolate ganache
