I'll cooperate with them as much as possible, but I need them to work with me a bit too. Another sidebar is I'm really needing somebody to believe me as well with this kind of upset me this morning talking with my mother about the workplace accommodations and seeking those out with the struggles in the workplace of her response being that well, you're always going to have trouble in the workplace. That's any job. So you really just need to learn to deal with it

And again, I think it's a generational and in my case, in my family, a female thing. And to be honest with you, I love my adoptive mother, but I do not confide in her for that exact reason because it is too much of a mental strain on me. I'm not going to tell you what to do, obviously, but just know that I do believe you and your feelings are valid and they are real

And so it's a bi directional communication differences. And so it may not be that we have deficiencies, quote unquote, but instead that there's not a recognition or an awareness of the differences. Because if you put two autistics, any number of autistics into a space together to communicate with one another and we have no problems, there are no deficiencies with empathy or types of communication or understanding one another et cetera. These things just dissolve it's when there's the divide between holistics and Autistics
