My Own Worst Enemy

article image placeholderUploaded by @MissKaylaSue
I am not the best at giving myself grace in those moments. And I even had a few people when I was sharing the story, and when they asked me what was wrong, seeing that I was stressed at work later telling me that, hey, it happens, which the rational part of my head after I had calmed down from the panic attack, I can see that. But in the heat of a moment, it's always hard to think clearly about those things

And I suppose some of that comes from those times when I do have distance. If I can intellectually recognize the way that I'm wired for good and bad from a distance outside of that moment, then I can take what I observed and understand intellectually into that moment to remind myself in that moment and depending who was in the vicinity, hopefully I've communicated to them ahead of time that I'm wired differently and how I experience the world. And so there can be grace from them, which really helps

My glasses are supposed to be mostly for reading, but sometimes when I'm really tired and our vision does fluctuate throughout the day, but I won't get into that. Yes, I'm a vision teacher, but I won't go there. But sometimes my vision will be stronger than others. And there are times I'm literally blind as a bat, right? And I'll be at home like, oh crap, I can't see this or I can't do this

Hey, guys, thank you for the replies and the feedback. Just addendum to what I was posting on there. I think the biggest thing that I have problem with is just being really hard on myself and going and beating myself up, especially if I find myself in a relapse moment when I'd been making progress. That's kind of what happened to me with the keys on that day is just that I had been doing so good with keeping myself organized

I'm glad you seem to be feeling better about things. I just wanted to let you know your audio is a little difficult to listen to. If you just angle your mic a little differently than you tend to, then you won't have the puffs of air blowing into the mic, and that should clear things up. You can keep it the same distance as you normally do. Just changing the angle helps

How would I keep my cool? Again, just reframing your mind and realizing that you're human. It's okay. To be honest with you, okay? Nobody is, like, following you around all day with a clipboard, giving you scores, right, and being like, all right, well, Kayla did this, she didn't do this, blah, blah. I mean, not as far as I'm aware of. Right
