On UnNecessary Suffering

article image placeholderUploaded by @Nostalgia
If I think about the hill on most of the ride, simply breathing and having unpleasant feelings about the thought of me sweating up that hill, then I suffer even before I reach the hill. Consequently, I end up suffering mentally on the enjoyable parts of the ride, but also when I actually reach the hill. So how many times we keep thinking of negative scenarios that never actually happen to us, but we suffer in our mind from the imagination of these scenarios

Because exactly like you mentioned, when we are not in the present moment, then we are either thinking about something that might never happen in the future, but we are overly worried about it and we know we cannot change anything, we cannot do anything about it. If it's meant to happen, it will happen and we are actually better prepared for it if we were arrested and live in every present moment fully than if we keep being worried and stressed
