It's just that in my writing, I have a full time job. I have children. Even though my children are grown, they're still my children, right? They're over 20, but I do a lot of things with them for them. And I have a dog, so I'm taking care of my dog. And like I said, I'm traveling

So yeah, I would say I mean, I know Medium is great as well and seems more accessible, but I feel like it's just picking one and sticking to it or I'm curious if people people have both. I was getting nowhere in 2021, but I kept my hopes up because I said, you know what, I like to write about different topics. At the time I was writing for Text Broker, where I was writing for actual clients. And Medium is definitely freer because it's like a blog, but they call them articles, like you said. So one day I submitted an article to, I believe it was Zora publication on Medium. And the article is called Deja vu is a gate

I'm just still really figuring it out half the year last year I was going back and forth between Medium and Substack and just finally settled on Medium and I'm still learning and trying to figure it all out. I think that a part of my issue, and I wholeheartedly believe this is that I do not know how to be a self promoter of my work. I think if I could tap into that for myself, things would be so much different

But the blessing is that my boss and some team leads, actually, they were taking my ear cushions and promoting it for me while I was busy on the phones. They would market it. I was just afraid to talk to people. I still am. It's just so hard to be a promoter, especially when you have a certain personality type or if you're a type of person who you don't feel that your work is good enough to put out there

That is a writing effort that you are wanting to publish so that you could work on two things at once, where one feeds into the other, and then you can have like, a pre novel and then the novel part. So you want to open yourself up. It sounds like you want to be able to broaden yourself, but you also want to do it in a capacity that's fruitful and maybe has some revenue and that's admirable

This will help you promote work that's already available, that people can then go out and purchase and might help you build some followers on stuff you've already done. This is capitalizing on your market. So you've already got that stuff out there and why shouldn't you promote yourself in that way? And you said shameless, so I just want to kind of understand what you're saying. They are out there, but you are not that person

A little bit more to the point. Where. Then you're saying, as she did, I'm going to be putting more information out there about this? Because this is an important topic and I'm glad you brought it up
