Introduction 😊

Around 2010, I was part of Kitchen Table Writing for years, and this is where I discovered that I somehow had become the poet of that writing group. And I can tell you, this was a huge surprise to me. I had no idea that I would grow to love poetry as much as I did, both the reading of it and the writing it. And eventually our group published a book called Stories Gathered at the Kitchen Table, a collection of women's memoirs

Hello from #Colorado! This is a short intro of who I am and why I’m here. #poetrylover

And there's a lot of poets here on Swell, and it's Poetry Month, so I think if you right now, it's hashtag Poetry Month. And if you look that up here on Swell, all the poems that people are posting for that will be on there, and that might be a great way to find other poets as well. So, yeah, hashtag poetry month, but yeah, look forward to hearing more of your Swells, and it's nice to meet you on here

And I did read a couple of pieces yesterday on here, too. And like I said, that's why I call it nonchalant poetry, is because I'm going to put the good out there, but I'm going to put the bad out there, the fun and the serious. And nonchalant is just an attempt to be okay with putting out the imperfect. And so I agree with you so much. It is hard to get out there and you just do it
