Is self love the cure for mental health disorders?

Hey. Swell. So a topic I wanted to talk about today is what I think I think is very important and I believe can be the cure or the start to curing any mental health disorder, substance abuse disorder, self destructive disorders, or tendencies you may have. I believe self love will save you from all of this. The reason I believe this is because from personal experience number one, all of my mental health issues and addiction and self destructive tendencies came from not loving myself

But through treatment and self love and et cetera, you can alleviate the drastic conditions that come with these such mental disorders. So we all assume that loving yourself must be easy, right? But how does one show love for themselves? Do you watch copious amounts of TV? Maybe that can help. Sometimes we need a break. Do you work out? Do you eat nourishing foods? Do you try to go out and maintain a social life? Do you meditate?

Hey, this is a good topic. I agree with Dewuan on this one. I don't believe that self love is a cure all for everything at all. There are a lot of people that are going through mental health challenges and I don't believe it's because they don't love themselves. It's just that life becomes very, very difficult at times. And sometimes challenges in life can hit you, they can blindside you and they can knock the wind out of you

So thank you for that because I actually really just realized that I was looking through my own eyes and not taking into consideration other people's mental health issues that may not be cured by self love, that cannot be cured by self love, that cannot even be helped by self love. For example, someone who's a paranoid schizophrenic. I don't think any amount of self love would ever really cure or put on track anything for that person

Hey, Dewuan, thanks for your response on this. This also gave me a lot of perspective and insight, as I said with Ms. Cole's, because I was looking through my own eyes, through my own experiences and not realizing that other people are suffering self cure, mental health disorders. Self love isn't even a path to any sort of betterment or anything. So I think it was being a little selfish there

I am very manic. So I wasn't even thinking of that. I was just thinking of the self destructive aspect. And I'm so glad you can relate to me. And I definitely use the wrong word cure. I don't think it's cure, but I think it's definitely something, a tool that can be used to better ourselves and help ourselves in the long run. And I'm so glad that you can relate to my story
