Job or Further Studies: What will you choose?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Manalika
And I finally decided to pursue English honors. However now I'm in my third year and I think was this degree worth it? Like should I have done something different? Should I have taken a different course? I don't know, right? So yeah, these questions will come up in your mind as well so it will be great if you guys share your opinions like what's your future goals and plans and I would love to hear about it

And I mean, they do reach a certain level, but after that, they start thinking that if I had done a post graduation, I would have like gotten a better opportunity, a better job package, a better salary, or a job in a better company if I had done that post graduation or a PhD. And the problem is once you start earning, once you start going to a job, after some like two or three years, your link to study gets broken

Hi. I mean, I do understand your opinion and the point that you mentioned that the study link gets broken. That's so true. I mean, personally, after I completed my high school, I got into College and first year until 2019, everything was normal because I was used to preparing for exams, giving papers and stuff like that. It was normal. However, when locked down happened, everything went to online, online classes, online exams

I'm doing a triple major so a day and it gives you a plethora of options. Really. Especially when you're doing something like art. You can literally go for anything that your heart tells you to right. Like society has already charged you for not taking signs of commerce. So now you have an open field. It's so I would say that's one of the other pros of actually completing your studies before like getting a step into the career that I'd love to hear

But I will tell you, if you have a very bad situation that time, kind of saying no to studies and maybe helping your parents, okay? But if you don't have anything like that, you're a very decent family, you come from a very good background and you have kind of like good money so you can spend on your future, then of course, I would say you have to plan your career. It doesn't end by doing an undergraduate degree or a postgraduate degree

It's important to give a thought process to that alignment and then see that in the current given point of time, what your circumstances are allowing you and what your mind and heart want is your circumstances giving you the space to start off with the job immediately or it is giving you more time to study more and then come to the corporate life, to the start of life, or to the doing work, project, internships or job. We mix when we talk about it as a debate

So, yeah, I think it's kind of a boon in disguise. Let me just see what happens in the future. But I do agree with your point. At least a graduate degree is very important in India

Yes, absolutely. I mean, if a person is financially stable, he or she should definitely pursue further studies. I mean, you got a chance. You are blessed with like stability, then why not, you know, make a proper use of it? And yeah, even I'm, I have some of my friends

I'm not even interested to do these kind of activities. Plus, I don't even think this stuff will help me in the future. I just came here because my friends are here and I don't think that's correct. Like, my subconscious mind was telling me all the time that no, you should not do this. This is just a waste of time. So I think we should first listen to ourselves
