Women in Automotive: Why are the numbers so low?

article image placeholderUploaded by @MabelAuto
And it's a shame that it is 2023 and the amount of women in automotive is not as high as it should be. You know, there are some markets that do very well and have great, amazing staff. There is one Volkswagen store in particular that is just like, wow, it's run by an amazing woman and it's great. There's also another group. I will mention these by name later on because I want to give them their flowers in a separate kind of post

I think that it's amazing that you shifted your career into this and are advocating for more women to join. I'm going to reswell so more people hear this. Thanks again for sharing

I've been in other industries as well, and I've seen some of the nuances and I've seen some of the discrepancies when it comes to male versus female. But when it comes to automotive, a lot has been done and there's been a lot of great strides and a lot of great changes, but it's not enough. Okay? For example, did you know that it wasn't until the late 60s, early seventy s, that a black man was allowed to sell a new car?

I would love to hear some one on one interviews with some women who are in the industry kind of showcase what's out there. What are people doing? What are they doing to bring more women into the arena? So, again, thank you. Great, swell. Appreciate it. Good luck to you, and hope you have a wonderful, wonderful day. Bye
