Some thoughts from my deathbed

All I could see were his eyes, and they were all I needed to see. He walked closer, shutting the door behind him. I jumped to my feet and leaned in for an embrace, the one that usually serves as the comforting silence that is interspersed between the storms of my life. I closed my eyes and as we felt at one, a smile escaped me. My eyes jolted open in pain and realization of the dagger that had been jammed into my back
