It's. This is not a poem. This is a country killing itself. Where women vote for men who want to own their wombs, where hate wear suits at state capitols and in Congress halls and calls for bans on anything and anyone that doesn't look or love or us like them. There are no more dog whistles

It's. I love this. And you like, you know, I love this so much. I love this so much. I love people standing. Thank you for standing. My God, you covered everything and so eloquently, so beautifully and, like, right to the core of my heart. You are my sister stir, and I love you. And that is my truth. And you have an answer in that that I wish people would listen to
And I wish that it was just simplified to that all important rule love one another. It's these divisions that are so prevalent now and it's so disheartening. It's so sad and heartbreaking and how it divides families. It's a part of my family. And I just think, like you said, we need a simple solution here. Unfortunately, I don't know. I think I tend to lean the negative way and that maybe it won't really get better

And that's not to say that we need to be love and light all the time, because poetry and for us writers, it's about honoring all of the expressions of what it means to be human and what it means to be spiritual and where those two intersect, for me, anyway, that's a big part of it. Some days they're not intersecting, and that's okay. That's all part of the process

Oh, Laura, this is an incredibly powerful piece. It's so complete in that it's almost like an anthem. And I I love the measure of it. It's almost like it had this rousing march feel to it. Like I just feel, you know, the pulse and the footsteps of people marching and protesting against all of this crazy systemic injustice. This was a very, very powerful piece. And you were a very powerful person and poet
