What gets you in the writing mood?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Lokigen
You everybody. This is chats with Mahoney. This is Mahoney. And I have a question for all my writers out there. What gets you in the writing mood? What are some things that you do to sort of get you in the creative writing sort of mindset? I know with me, me, when the time comes for me to actually sit down and write, I first need to know that I am going to be alone for several hours

I have a few things I like to do to get my creative jucies flowing.

I take a lot of scenic pictures. I have 50,000 photos, and just from those, I am inspired. And if I can't find anything there, I'll go and reread a few things that I've done, where I'll read somebody else's letter to me or text to me or message to me, and we just got to keep on keeping on. I write for myself. I have to get out what's within. I have to have that catharsis in my life

We have a responsibility, although there are writers out there who put it out and take no responsibility, but they're very few and far between. But I think that's fantastic. Yes, I'm the same way. I have to write. And that desire to write is what kind of made me change every direction I was going. When I worked in the clubs and entertainment, I made very good money. When I was a researcher for our activist group, I didn't make money per se

How i write

Hello, mahoney. I hope you had a wonderful day. Saw your question, heard how you write, how you develop your own process in writing. And I thought it was very interesting and I thought I would explain a little bit about my process of writing. And mine is way different from yours, which it's fine. We're all individuals here, and we all have our different ways of doing the exact same thing, but in different ways

You can either take a little break from your writing and get fresh again, which sometimes is a good thing to do, or you can get some prompts and have them help you to determine what would be good for you and interesting for you to tackle. You have a nice day and a half before July to

You already know what you're going into with that. For me, this is for the fiction writing mostly, which in my opinion, can be much harder than writing nonfiction or just writing articles and things like that. And writer's block. Yes, everybody has moments of writer's block. And I think I might take you up on that idea of using chat GPT to kind of help you get past that. It doesn't hurt

It. Well, I'll tell you a couple things about Chat GPT when it comes to writing. And first of all, I want to tell you I totally agree with you that nonfiction or excuse me, fiction is, in my view, the hardest damn thing to write. I mean, it's far harder than a piece of nonfiction

Which makes me wonder about some of the older literature, some of the older writers, like Hemingway and stuff like that. But I guess the AI could approximate that from his writing mood, maybe interviews and stuff. I don't know how that works. That is very cool though, and I'm very curious and I feel like going right there, right after this just to play around. But yeah, everything you said was it resonated very well with me. Thank you so much

And in fact, you can find most any good writer on the Internet. I know it says back to 21, but my goodness, how far Becky is that? That's not all that far back. And so you can find any good writer that you respect and regard and would like to sort of pattern after
