Irrational fears, and how to deal with them?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Lokigen
He tight against his seat, picked up an object and proceeded to bash my face. And I needed 13 months of facial reconstruction and bone grafts after that. And ever since then, I've had a tremendous fear. The dentist. I should be afraid of random people like this guy, but I'm not. I have a weird fear of the dentist. So today I'm going to bring you guys with me again. When I go, it's cathartic for me to talk about it

Im going to the dentist and im freaking out! Follow along as I get a root canal and try not to cry durring the process.

What do you do for anxiety?

It's 845. And we are getting closer to the appointment with the dentist for the root canal. And the closer we get, the more my nerves start to get frazzled. I know that this is just one of those weird, irrational fears. Think the last time I went

Its getting close

Getting closer to and gas cigarettes bread back up it is talking about the sure everything but as we grow closer more and more apparent so I've noticed that they have too many things that they do to deal with anxiety outside of medications. Kind of sad to me. So I guess my new mission will be to try and find better alternative ways. Share that here. I'm going to go ahead and get off of this thing

How much?!

The last time I was in the Er, I was bit by a brown recluse. The bike got staff I needed to get treatment. They charged me $50 for a Band Aid, let alone the treatment. So I have to wonder, is it beneficial, really? How many of us in America are falling through the cracks as far as our health care? I just cringe at the thought of those people that have to depend on state funded care, some sort of welfare system

I do know that for a lot of my students who have so many fears on so many different levels, I mean, everything from turning on lights, you name it, with my special ed students a lot of the time, too, it's a process in terms of how I help them deal with it and face their fears. Sometimes we'll make a social story and we will write a story about it and have them facing their fears of spiders or snakes, per se

Appreciation

And I'll be very honest, I mean, the the regular therapy work didn't really cut it for me as much as doing something like a psychedelic therapy. I know that's kind of a new subject now. It's still a touchy subject. Back when I was doing it, just the mention of doing something like that could get your kids taken away and you'd be put in jail. Thank goodness that times have changed pretty dramatically and that people are getting educated and becoming more enlightened

And the older I get, I'm like, you know what? That's not always the answer. So I just hope you find whatever works for you, whatever it might be, and I just wish you a lot of luck. Thank you. Bye
