And granted, there is a lot I have yet to learn about the problems that take place within the American education system, but if I were not to address any other problems and simply address the most glaringly obvious issue in my opinion, anyway, then that would be reframing the whole purpose of education in America because from my understanding and from my knowledge of other people's experiences having gone through the education system, our current system that we have in place serves to churn out workers, cogs in the system, to churn out well behaved, somewhat informed citizens to put in cubicles and live the quote unquote American dream and essentially feed into our ongoing capitalist system

And I think one of the things that we can see in our education system, even among those who have made it to very high ranking universities, is that we might have confused about the purpose of education with the methodology. I think many people and students who come have some sort of a goal, at least the ones who make it to the very competitive universities. Anyway, however, I think we need to have space to consider what kind of goals might be beneficial for society or for individuals

And I think in the current modern public education sector, although not in every room and not as well everywhere, there are those opportunities, but maybe not to the greater extent that you might hope for kids to have a voice in what they're learning. And of course, as you mentioned, there are those required sets of learnings
