Domestic Violence Awareness

article image placeholderUploaded by @LionessFelicia
I was maybe about 1718 years old, going through domestic violence and not really knowing what it was that I was going through. I just knew that it wasn't right. A lot of the times when people think about domestic violence, they think about domestic violence only being physical abuse. Domestic violence can show up in any way, shape or form. It can show up as your mental, emotional or verbal abuse

Today i want to come to you because its DVA month and i wanted to share a bit.

@LionessFelicia

There are people who have overcome this relationships violence and there are people that can help you identify resources in your community and within your family and friends circle. So you are not alone at any time. We are here living our lives and knowing that domestic violence is a reality and wanting to do everything we can to promote a safe escape plan and having a plan is the first step. I encourage you to call the domestic violence hotline

Thank you so much, Kerri, for providing this information. That was amazing. I love it. Also, along with you saying that there are safe measures that domestic violence worries can use, there are also different ways that they can sign if they need to if they're in a situation and they're trying to get out at that moment and they can't that I saw online. So I definitely will be providing information as well, like I said, throughout the month
