Do filmmakers think I am stupid?

And then we somehow got into the conversation about movies, and I wanted to know what their thoughts were about when you're watching a movie and the camera is focusing on two people speaking, and you can see the person that, like the face of the person that the one person is speaking to, and then the back of the head is always strong, as if they are not really speaking. Am I making any sense?

Frustration at the continuity in movies

Why not just put both characters next to each other, speaking to each other and get them in a frame, especially since we have so many wide angle lenses these days, so we can actually see both characters actors sitting in front of each other. Nowadays, we can create that scene

This is a common thing in Hollywood where they do what is called ADR. So great films avoid this and they get it right the first time in terms of dialogue log. But there are some fields out there that are not as great, and they have these ideas after they have already shot their stuff and the actors have to come back in to do what is ADR. Basically, they have to dub themselves in scenes

And I rewind it to make sure that I'm not going crazy. So I think that I'm right there with you. I'm not a film buff at all. But I do think that with the amount of money that they're spending on these movies and TV shows, we should be getting the quality of production that we expect. And when you're just looking at a head, that could be the same actress, couldn't be the same actress. But it's just there in the scene

But now I'm going to start looking out to see if they're actually moving or not because it's a really good point that you brought up about how there was like a bunch of clips together. So I one clip might be them talking, but one clip might not because they just put them all together. So now I'm going to look out for that. So thank you
