Beating

Snow cannot be held as you hold grudges. But still it swept away my fear with every flake and every leaf was blown away in watery sidewalks that held my boots down to New York like ice thus daring tongues on winter's day. Let me be that snow for you this weekend. Let me try and make amends with all your fears. Be it song or be it tears that were in store. I'll hold you dearest in my devastated mind I say the plots the same

I really like this piece. There's something so dense about the way you manage to pack so much into short pieces. I enjoy short pieces when they pack a punch, and yours do, because you they are are jam packed with all sorts of literary devices, whether it's the metaphor illiteration or the rhyme, but often something quite complex as well, or some kind of questioning. I just listen to the Faith poem. Some kind of internal wrangle you seem to capture that so well

Oh, and it means so much, too, that you actually commented on this one, because it's one of my newer pieces. So I think everybody's kind of a little scared when they're writing that there will be some kind of decadence or something. And I'm really, really trying to fine tune these last ones because some of the ones on the first ones, some of the first ones I actually published, I read off of some notes I have of old poems
