Too Many Men Giving Up at 40

article image placeholderUploaded by @LegacyComix
Like, at 40, like, right before 40, I just see men that I grew up with, that I went to school with giving up on themselves emotionally, giving up on themselves physically, just giving up on life. Like, they're just content with their jobs. They're content with their lives. They're content with their wives. They're content with their children. And I mean contempt content. I'm sorry, not contempt. Yeah, I'm an English professor

I got kids, my wife, and I've been through not a lot of crazy stuff, some crazy stuff. Everybody's been through some kind of crazy stuff at some point. And I was even going to give up on my art and all of that stuff. So when I pulled out that five page preview, I did a tooth and nail. I was like, let me see what I can do with this. And I said to myself, I want to be published before I'm 40

You. Hi, just wanted to stop through and give my two cent on what you shared. Thanks so much. I think it's a great topic. Also think that somewhere in a person's life, like something hit them hard or something disappointing happened or something triggered that feeling of feeling less than or not capable. If I had friends like that, I would ask them hey, what happened? Used to do this, that and the other, whether it be a male or female
