Dealing with disappointments

article image placeholderUploaded by @Learningtobeme
I've worked for something for so long for a project that I was assured that, yes, I'm going to get this done, and this is going to take me to a certain place or a certain height or a certain promotion. And then when the day came, it did not happen. So this is where we are. This has actually occurred. My time, my investment, my hard work has not resulted the result that I was expecting. So I am disappointed

There's some really great stuff in here. I totally agree with you. I think it ends up being about balancing expectation and fantasy with with reality, which is why there's disappointment. It didn't match what you imagined would happen, and it's a hard thing. I don't think it gets easier here

Hi Ava. Just listened to your smallcast. Yes, definitely valid points that you make. Disappointments in life is something that we all unfortunately have to deal with in one way or another. The last point you make resonated with me where we have to eyes that at times certain things happen for certain reasons in life, right? And we have to accept that. And sometimes it's for the better
