Do you ever get tired of being the " strong person" for everyone

article image placeholderUploaded by @LadyFI
But what happens when you get tired? What happens when the strong person lets go of the rope? Seems like the rope just when we let it go, everything falls to pieces. But is that fair? I don't know. Being a strong person sometimes really sucks. But sometimes it's rewarding. The way I feel right now is that I'm tired. Tired of being a strong person. But guess what, y'all? I'm going to wake up tomorrow and be the strong person anyway

The Strong Person Doesn’t Get the Help

So I think there are moments where we can be vulnerable. There are moments where we can admit we need help. There are moments when we can not be concerned with being the strong person. I was thinking this the other day at church when people were going around praying for others. And yes, I'm one of the intercessors at church, but at the same time, it's like, dang, when is somebody going to come and pray for me?

You are absolutely right. Everything you said hit the nail right on the head. We as a strong person don't get the help. And sometimes that is to our disadvantage because we seek and seek and seek help for ourselves. But sometimes we don't voice it. It's only in our minds that we're asking for the help. But we as a strong person don't want to be perceived as the weaker

Hello. Hi, Evelyn. I totally relate to what you are saying. You know, my sister and I both have been raised as very strong girls, and but, you know, then there are certain times or days, you know, when I feel that I just cannot do anything at all because I am so physically and mentally exhausted of being that strong person. So, thankfully, then I tell my sister, and even if I don't tell her, she can see it

Ahead. Thank you so much for the response. I agree with you. Being the older sister can be tough. But I'm so glad that your younger sister picks up where you leave off because it allows you to get just a moment of rest. And I really agree with you that being the strong person is because we're resilient, as you said. Thanks for making a comment. I enjoyed your explanation

And like you said, I might feel like that right now, but tomorrow when I get up and somebody calls me, I'm right back in motion, I'm right back to it. And then I think about too, that's another reason why I desire a spouse. I desire a husband because I can be strong for everybody else, but then I can be weak with Him. And he won't judge me. He'll just baby me and pamper me

It's. Well, it was so much to what you just said. I can't do anything but say, yep, that's what happens. But unfortunately, that's what happens. But I am encouraged because your story gives me hope, lets me know that I shouldn't be weary and well doing, that I should just keep on doing it. Like I said, I'm going to get up in the morning and I'll be right back at it. I'll be the strong person

Even before I was a therapist, I was the glue in every circle that I was ever in. I just had a high sense of responsibility. And the truth is, it's not always that someone's asking this of me or almost anyone. People aren't usually asking it of them. It's just that once they've asked and we've done it, we've likely overdone it. And if you overdo it, then people are very used to leaning on people. And takers have no limits
