But, you know, all that sugar obviously isn't healthy, so I have to avoid it. Now, pecan pie, I don't like. I don't know why. It just feels like it's a pie crush filled with sugar, but. And all pies are like that, right? But, you know, a cherry pie, apple pie, it seems like you have some other flavor other than sugar. Pecan pie just feels like syrup on top of syrup on top of syrup

And I, you know, coated them with some sugar syrup, and it wasn't really, really sweet, so it brought out the flavor of the pecans. So. Pecans, pecans. I don't know. Anyway, so, yeah, I understand some people say it's just sticky and they don't feel like, you know, eating that. It just feels like a stickiness in their mouth. But for some people, they, girl, they could tear one up

Well, I know you can say pecan or pecan or pecan or pecan. It all tastes the same, doesn't it? Fact of the matter is, I cannot eat them at all because they are cousins to the walnuts. And the walnuts are not my friend. They make the inside of my mouth raw painful. So I have to stick to cashews and almonds and our good old brother Peanut. But I do love me some nuts. And it's without thinking. I just pronounce them differently depending on what I'm talking about. But she would fix these pecan tassies and oh my goodness, this is when we were in junior college together. I just loved it. And it was so good that I told her to fix some for my husband. He and I, I believe we were only engaged during that time, but I forgot that he don't eat pecans because of his reaction to it

But anyway, when I do get a slice of pecan pie or pecan pie, I enjoy it, but it has to be made right. Like, if it's really icky, sticky, I don't like it. But if it's real gummy, like, I don't like that either. It has to be a, like almost a solid consistency. Not like, you know, jell o, just, I don't know. But anyway
Hello there. I'm going to make this short and sweet. I'm a native southerner from Virginia, and we've always pronounced it pecan, not pecan. Oh, that's cool. Pecan day. I've tried pecan pie before. First time I tried it was a few years ago. I was at my brother's place for Christmas dinner, and they were having pecan pie for the dessert. That's the first time I tried it. It's really. I love that. Now pecan pie, one of my favorites now. Anyways, thanks for sharing that story with the pecans. Pecan day

Hey, Evelyn. Yeah, I don't think I would like the sticky version of pecan pie either. And like I said, I haven't had it in a long while, but I know I would prefer a more solid consistency. And I was listening when you mentioned about the almond Snickers, I believe. And yeah, when I did some research on that last year, about the most, the safest candy bars for people with diabetes to eat. Oh, my gosh

Hey Erika, I feel your husband's pain every time I go get ready to go to the snacks or whatever. If I'm at a party or whatever, it's the same thing. Family gatherings, nuts. Just nuts everywhere. And I'm just like, really? Really? Because I don't want to take the chance. Like for instance, my father's repass. They had this lady made the most beautiful tiny cheesecakes from my mom. Very rich. Too rich for me actually

Now that you've told me that, I can definitely see the similarities and the shape of the nut and everything. And I feel for people who have allergies for nuts in my family. My daughter and a couple of my sons and my wife all have various levels of nut allergies, with my daughter having the worst. She can't even eat anything that has coconut butter or coconut oil in it, and almost everything has one of those two items, either coconut butter or coconut oil

So he has a very, very, very strict diet, and he has to be very, very careful about what he eats. But, yeah, I had no idea. But yes, I love pecan pap or, you know, pecan pie. Pecans. Then you build the pecan pie just the way you ordinarily would, and then on top of that, you put sugared pecans. And it is just incredible. You know, pecan pie is a great pie on its own. I mean, with nothing, you know, no more needed but to put this layer of thick, dark chocolate on the bottom of it, it's just incredible. So that's all I have. Bye
