It's an unexpected friendship that has lasted well. I do have a friendship with someone that's lasted 36 years. Yep. All the way since high school. I've known this person since I was 14 years old and now I'm 54. He's 55, I believe. And he is on swell. He's my best friend, Derek, and he knows that I love him. We have been through some tough times. I have watched him go away to the navy

You true friends, real friends in the world today, are very, very hard to come by. So when you have a friendship like that, it is really a blessing from God. And the fact that you both can respect each other for being there for each other is a blessing in itself because you respect him for who he is and not what he is, and he respects you for who you are and not what you are

We expect more of each other, and we encourage each other and we pray for each other. So, yeah, I think it is a blessing. I'm glad you said that, because I always looked at it as just a friendship, but it is a blessing to have a friend like that and to have one for that long. So thank you so, so much. Wow. That is such a testament. I can't say that I have a friendship that long. I wonder if this is this the Derek that when he does this well cast, he plays, like, some music in the background. If it is, he is so awesome. I really enjoy him. Um, but that is great. I celebrate your friendship, and you seem like such a wonderful person. It's no wonder

Thank you so much. He doesn't get on often, but when he does, there is some music sometimes playing in the background. He likes sports, so he talks about sports a lot, but no, he doesn't get on that often. But, yeah. I can't remember a day when I didn't know him, really. We were teenagers, just young freshmen s in high school. So, yeah. I'm very grateful for him. Thank you so much

And interestingly, I'd seen her. We used to actually get on the same bus, and we were both living in different towns. And at one point, I saw her in the mall one day, and I said, should I approach her? Should I not approach? And I decided to approach her, and I said, excuse me, you should go to community college, right? She said, yeah. So when I started walking away, she pulled me back

Hey, Al, I love your story. I really do. And the fact that you have two wonderful friends and that you support each other, like going to the commencement ceremony is what I heard you say for the one friend and then the other friend you went to college with. So, yeah, all of that. Yeah, all of that is very interesting because the people that God brings in our life, he always brings them in our life for a reason
