Kierkegaard | Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards...

article image placeholderUploaded by @LadyFi
And you look at it, and you say, okay, I did that wrong. Let me try something else. And then you can move forward. You can walk forward into life. There are so many things that I wish I could change, but I can't. But I can change them in the future. I can't change them back there. Back there is already done, but I can change it going forward. I can say, I'm not gonna go that route

You have lived and you're living, and now you have full clarity to understand what happened. That's why I can't write a memoir right now until I am fully separated from the journey of my past. So I really like this because it help us to understand that we must move forward. But in moving forward, we can finally clearly see what's happened because we're not in the thick of it anymore. We can just view it from the pier. Thank you so much for sharing this

But if it's something that, looking back on it, you look back and say, oh, man, now that I see it from it already happening, I see I should not have done that, then that's nothing to regret, because you have to go through it to make that realization. You can only move forward, and you can only look back. So if it takes looking at it to see it, you had to go through it and then look back to know

That is so cool that your planner said the same thing today. I'm telling you. Writing a memoir. Oh, my gosh. My aunt always tells me, I can't wait till you write that book about your life. That book about my life is gonna take me a long time to write. Maybe not a long time, but I'm not ready to do it yet, because some people are still alive. So, anyway. But, um

Thank you, Reverend Willis. I really appreciate that because let me tell you something that makes perfect sense because there are things in my life that I do regret because I knew it was wrong and I still did it. But there are things in my life that I didn't even know was happening. And I learned from it. I grew, I grew in maturity, I grew in my faith and I was able to ask God to help me to never do it again or to do it differently

And people don't mind taking a call and high fiving you for it, you know, for job interviews, even prs in the gym, like, personal records. How could you know you grew. Unless you beat your last PR and then stayed there. As in, like, you can beat your PR and squat, like, three plates on each side, but then if you go back down to struggling on two plates, that doesn't matter anymore. Truly true

And what's funny is my sister says, man, your head is full of useless information. And I said, it's not useless. It comes in handy when I tell them facts and things like that. And they're like, how do you even know this stuff? Because I read, because I watch tv. Because I learn. So, yeah, as long as we breathe, we're going to keep learning and keep growing

Hi. I think this swell prompt really makes sense. Because as they say, hindsight is always 20 by 20 and life can only be understood backwards. Absolutely correct. Because that is how we really understand life. And then regret for not having understood it beforehand. But then, such is life. Thank you for this and take care. Bye

Thank you so much for responding. I totally agree with you. We have to look back and say, look, how did we do this? What happened here? You know, I don't think I'm going to take that route anymore. And in order for us to truly go forward, we do have to examine a little bit of our past so that we don't make the same mistakes twice. And I thank you so much for commenting. Really, I appreciate

Thank you so much. And you're most welcome. And definitely we have to look back so that we don't make the same mistake again. So very rightly said. Thank you so much and take care and have a lovely week ahead
