#askswell | Sticks and Stones may break my Bones but words will never hurt me. Is that still true today?

When I grew up, my parents told us that words could never hurt us because we had to believe what we believe for ourselves, that our confidence level should be high, and that if we believe we were beautiful, we were. But in today's society, there are so many signs that point to other things. For instance, beauty. Take that, for example. Back in our day, beauty was in the eye of the beholder. Correct? And a woman would cover up, pretty much

The devil has everything to do with it, considering a lot of it's because of DCFS, that loves to interfere with correcting kids, which the devil wants. So they can run rapid and do whatever they want, think that they can get away with everything, but they're going to come cross the wrong person and what they've been doing to everybody else is going to happen to them

And then when you say about DCFS, I think that that business, that entity, is so busy with trying to save children's lives. So I do admire them for that. However, I think they need to closely investigate more. There are false claims out there, and parents are being stripped of their rights to be able to discipline their children because they are afraid that what's going to happen to them is that they're going to lose their kids

Just start being nicer to each other and then people wouldn't have to be so sensitive about know. So that's just my take on it. But thank you so much, Edward, for contributing to this. Well, because I really appreciate your insight. Thank you so much

And now it's like you say one thing, or if a child says something to another child mommy, they say, I got big teeth. Will you go back and tell him that his glasses are big enough he can see Mars? I mean, come on now, right? That's what you got to do. It's funny, you mentioned the makeup in the middle of your swell, and we talked about beauty and now being focused on the makeup. And you know what I see happening?

So I will be like drinking a gallon of water today in order to get rid of that. Because I want to be healthier, of course, and I do want to get rid of them, but I think that we have deficiencies as far as vitamins. We need more vitamins, too, and rest, like you said. So thank you so much for contributing to this. Well, I appreciate your information is always valuable. Thank you

You. Thank you so much for responding to this. Well, you are so right. Words can hurt you. Words have hurt me desperately and deeply in my life. You know, I grew up as fat kid, and do you know how horrible it is to be called fat by the kids around you? That you weren't in the proper shape, that they just laughed at you, thinking that things you couldn't do because you were heaviest set? Well, I proved them wrong

If they think I'm going to be like this, I can start deleting people. They allow the words that have been said to them to dictate what they're going to do next. And that's where we're different. We didn't allow the words to dictate what we were going to do next because our parents taught us it doesn't matter what they say, baby, you're going to be okay. Don't worry about what they said
