You see all these things that take enormous time in your life and you think, oh, my gosh, would you hurry up? This is boring. That would be life without music. It wouldn't just be a mistake. It would be a tragedy. And I know God is not boring and he loves music. So I'm glad that we have it in our lives

You learn about the treble clef, the bass. You learn that you can apply these same musical notes to literally any instrument in the world. You learn how to combine sounds to produce one uniform sound. If you remember in the movie Drumline, Nick Cannon's part, he couldn't read music, but he could hear it. He could feel it. But if someone were to give you a new song, you have to learn to read it as well. So music has its own language
